Teleport

 

DCI’s teleport is a 24/7 staffed, state-of-the-art facility with 23 roof mounted antennas providing full access to all US domestic and (to 4 degrees west longitude) Atlantic Ocean Region (AOR) region satellites. DCI is licensed for transmission service to Intelsat, NewSkies, Eutelsat, Telesat, Anik, Hispasat, SatMex and all USA domestic satellites.

DCI's service offerings include:

  • Satellite uplink and downlink transmissions
  • Analog and Standard (SD) and High (HD) Definition digital formats.
  • The digital video equipment used in the teleport includes Tandberg, Tiernan, NEL, and NDS encoders & IRD’s for 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 formats.
  • Video record/playback and standard conversion.
  • HD Down-conversion
  • ASI turns between both digital terrestrial paths and satellite paths to eliminate re-encoding degeneration.  
  • Web streaming and other Internet services.

Using DCI's Crews and technical staff, Yoshiki Hidaka interviews Vice President Richard Cheney on March 11th, 2008. Now in its 13th year, "The Hidaka Report" is produced at DCI in Washington and airs monthly on TV Tokyo, a nationwide TV network in Japan.
