DCI's hybrid DSNG/ENG van has many of the same features as a large truck, but packed in a city-friendly package.  The van's standard equipment includes a 1.2m dish, redundant amplifiers and multiple monitoring points.  In fact, this compact uplink has as many monitors as our large satellite truck!  The van has one MPEG 2/4, 422/420 HD encoder with DVB-S2 modulator and two SD encoders.  Additional HD paths can be added as well.   The van is also equipped with a mast for our DC-based digital microwave network, allowing HD transmission from many locations around the city. 

The van is equipped with a versatile powered 2-channel IFB system, intercom, 4 cell lines, satellite phone, and a SX/SP deck. For HD, DCI owns several P2HD recorders as well.  DirecTV and WiFi internet is also provided.
